Founding Director, Giles Baxter OBE, has 15 years’ experience in the field of workforce planning.   In the Ministry of Defence (MOD)/British Army, he designed and implemented a new workforce planning capability.   His final Army appointment in the rank of Colonel was Head of Army Workforce Analysis and Operations in the Directorate of Manning (Army) with responsibility for managing a workforce of over 100,000 full time officers and soldiers and an annual budget of £4.8Bn, for which he was awarded an OBE.

 

Since founding Workforce Planning Solutions,  examples of work completed include ground-breaking projects developing workforce planning capability and plans for an executive agency of the Department of Health and a county council, and a change project for a £40m charity, guiding them through a major organisational design and transformation programme.    

 

Giles is an associate of a major professional services firm where he specialises in the application of Workforce Analytics to improve organisational performance and drive change, and a smaller consultancy working in the whole systems field, where he specialises in workforce planning.
